TERMS OF SERVICE

Payment & Refund

The deposit must be paid before the appointment. The remaining balance must be paid after the installation service by cash or bank transfer. Any matter related to warranty will follow the warranty terms stated below. Refunds, when approved, will be processed by bank transfer, usually within 10 working days. All refund decisions are made at the discretion of RX8. The deposit is non-refundable unless otherwise approved by RX8. All late fees and additional charges must be fully settled before or at the time of service.

Appointment Changes & Late Arrival

Our services require significant time, so customers are required to arrive on time. If a customer arrives more than 30 minutes late, a late fee will apply at a rate of £30 for every 15 minutes of delay.

Example:

  • 0–30 minutes late: No charge

  • 30–45 minutes late: £30 charge

  • 45–60 minutes late: £60 charge

RX8 may reschedule or decline service if the delay exceeds 1 hour. In this situation, the customer is still required to pay the full service fee. This fee is due regardless of whether the service is completed.

If you need to cancel or adjust your appointment, you must notify RX8 at least 48 hours in advance. Any cancellation or rescheduling made less than 48 hours before the appointment will result in a £50 emergency change fee.

A customer who does not attend the appointment without notice will be considered a no-show and will be required to pay the full service fee.

Watch Condition & Service Requirements

Before the appointment, the customer must ensure that the watch is free from any stickers or films not provided by RX8 and that the watch is clean and free from dirt, oil, residue, or substances that may interfere with adhesion. The surface condition of the watch may affect the performance, appearance, or lifespan of the protection film. Watches that have undergone multiple polishing procedures may show reduced adhesion or durability, and the film may peel more easily during regular use. RX8 is not responsible for any inaccurate or incomplete information provided by the customer regarding the condition of the watch.

RX8 is not responsible for any issues, defects, or problems affecting the watch at any time, including before, during, or after the installation of the protection film. This includes the condition of the watch at the moment of service, even while RX8 is actively performing the installation. RX8 does not assume responsibility for any structural, cosmetic, mechanical, or functional conditions of the watch, whether known or unknown, visible or hidden. This includes but is not limited to scratches, dents, loosened parts, prior polishing damage, weakened surfaces, internal wear, corrosion, water damage, adhesive sensitivity, or any condition that becomes visible, develops, or worsens during or after the service. RX8 does not warrant that the film will adhere properly to watches with modified, damaged, or uneven surfaces.

By proceeding with the service, the customer acknowledges and accepts that RX8 does not assume liability for the condition, performance, functionality, or integrity of the watch at any stage of the service process.

Photo & Video Authorisation

By using RX8 services, the customer authorises RX8 to take photographs or video recordings of the watch before, during, and after the installation process. These images may be used for service records, quality verification, training, marketing, or the creation of edited content. RX8 may edit, process, or combine the photographs or videos for these purposes. RX8 will ensure that no identifiable personal information is captured. If any serial number or watch-specific identifier is visible, RX8 will remove or obscure it in any material used for marketing or public display. All photographs and recordings will show only the watch and will not include the customer’s face, identity, voice, or any personal details. These images do not constitute personal data under applicable privacy laws, as they do not identify the customer.

RX8 will take reasonable care to obscure any visible serial number. However, the customer acknowledges that an accidental failure to obscure such information does not constitute a breach of this agreement, and RX8 does not assume responsibility for any consequence arising from such an unintended occurrence. RX8 is not obligated to delete or remove photographs or recordings that have already been created or used, unless required by law.

Film Maintenance Suggestion

  • Do not apply harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaning agents to the film. These substances may damage the coating or reduce its protective properties.

  • Clean the film only with mild soap or a watch safe cleaning solution. Use a soft, non-abrasive cloth to remove dirt, smudges, or fingerprints.

  • If the watch comes into contact with water, it must be dried promptly. RX8 films are water-resistant, but prolonged exposure to moisture or submersion may weaken the adhesive.

  • Avoid exposing the watch to excessive heat or strong sunlight, as this may cause the film to warp or degrade.

  • Although RX8 films protect from daily wear, intentional scratching, scraping, or applying force with sharp objects should be avoided. Strong impacts may cause peeling or damage.

  • If the film becomes worn or less effective, it is the customer’s responsibility to replace it. You may contact RX8 for evaluation or replacement services.

  • RX8 films provide additional protection but cannot guarantee complete immunity from damage. The customer remains responsible for proper care and safe usage of the watch.

Each watch has its own unique condition, and the customer is the person who best understands their own watch. The maintenance suggestions above, as well as any advice or recommendations provided by RX8, are general in nature and intended only as guidance under normal usage. RX8 does not assume responsibility for any result that may arise from the customer following or not following such advice. Normal usage varies between customers, and RX8 does not define or guarantee any specific standard of usage.

Warranty

14 Day Free Service Warranty

This warranty covers installation-related issues that appear within fourteen days of purchase, such as peeling, bubbling, or improper adhesion. RX8 will assess the issue and provide corrective service at no cost if the claim is valid.

3 Month Manufacturing Warranty

This warranty covers defects arising from the manufacturing process within three months of the purchase date. Covered issues include delamination or material defects. RX8 will evaluate the claim and may replace the film if the defect is confirmed.

Warranty Conditions

For valid warranty claims made within fourteen days, RX8 will replace the film free of charge.
For valid claims made after fourteen days but within three months, RX8 will cover the material cost. A minimum labour fee of fifty pounds will apply.

The warranty does not cover wear and tear, discolouration, accidental damage, misuse, impact damage, or issues caused by improper care or customer handling. Natural ageing, lifting, or changes caused by daily wear are not covered by any warranty. Normal usage is determined solely by RX8 for warranty evaluation, and RX8 does not guarantee that any customer’s individual usage pattern qualifies as normal usage. The warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is not transferable. Any modification or alteration of the film voids the warranty. The warranty does not cover any issue arising from the customer removing, lifting, or attempting to adjust the film. Any replacement provided under warranty does not reset or extend the original warranty period.

All warranty services must be performed by RX8. Work performed by any third party will void the warranty.

All warranty claims are subject to evaluation by RX8, and RX8 reserves the sole discretion to determine whether a claim is valid and whether replacement is required. A customer request alone does not constitute a valid warranty claim.

Emergency or Non-Standard Booking Requests

If a customer requests a booking or service outside of RX8’s standard booking process, including but not limited to same-day appointments, next-day appointments, mobile appointments, or bookings made through WhatsApp, Instagram, or other informal channels, the customer is fully responsible for obtaining and reviewing the Terms of Service before the service begins. RX8 is not required to provide or resend the Terms of Service in such situations, and the customer accepts that the Terms of Service apply in full regardless of whether the customer has read them. RX8’s agreement to accommodate an urgent or non-standard request does not waive, limit, or modify any part of the Terms of Service.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the total liability of RX8 arising out of or in connection with any service or protection film, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, shall be limited to the total amount paid by the customer for the relevant service on that occasion. RX8 shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, including loss of profit, loss of resale value, or loss of use of the watch.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. The parties agree that the courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms of Service.

Additional Disclaimer on Advice

Any guidance, suggestions, assessments, or opinions provided by RX8 through messages, social media, email, phone calls, or in-person communication are general in nature and do not constitute a guarantee, warranty, or professional evaluation of the watch. The customer remains fully responsible for any decision made in reliance on such information. RX8 shall not be liable for any outcome, issue, or damage resulting from the customer following, interpreting, or relying on any verbal or written advice provided outside the formal Terms of Service.

Service Provider

RX8 is a trading name of NOVOTEX Ltd. All services, warranties, and agreements in this Terms of Service are provided by NOVOTEX Ltd under the RX8 brand.

Acceptance of Terms

By booking an appointment or using RX8 services, the customer confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to all Terms of Service. This agreement applies to all services provided by RX8 and replaces any previous verbal or written understanding.
